Hosting and server logs
This website runs on servers operated by ServerTec IT Engineering UG. We use no hosting provider and no other processor. With every request the web server stores the IP address, time, requested page, referrer and browser identifier in log files. This is necessary for secure operation (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). We delete the log files after 7 days. Requests to the contact API are not logged by the web server.
Analytics from server logs with Matomo
Matomo creates visitor statistics from these log files on our own server. IP addresses are shortened by 2 bytes. No script runs in your browser and nothing is stored on your device. Matomo deletes individual visit data after 25 months; only aggregated statistics without personal reference remain. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in improving the website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
No cookies, no trackers, no third parties
This website sets no cookies, loads no content from third-party servers and uses no tracking scripts. We serve fonts, images and scripts ourselves.
Colour scheme
If you switch the colour scheme, we remember your choice in your browser's local storage under the key st.theme. This is necessary to provide the display you requested (§ 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG). There is no other storage access.
Contact form and email
When you contact us via the form or by email, we process your name, email address, message, the chosen topic and, optionally, company and phone number to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your enquiry aims at a contract, otherwise our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
The form does not store your details in a database; it sends them as an email to info@servertec.net through our own mail server. We delete enquiries once they are settled and no statutory retention periods apply.
To protect against automated requests, your browser solves a small computational puzzle (ALTCHA). No third-party service is involved and nothing is stored on your device. To prevent abuse we also count requests per IP address in memory for at most 24 hours, without storing them (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
Transfers to third countries
We do not transfer personal data to countries outside the EU and the EEA.
Your rights and supervisory authority
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability.
Right to object: Where we process data on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR), you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR). Write to info@servertec.net.
You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, for example the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Alt-Moabit 59-61, 10555 Berlin.
Providing your data is voluntary. Without name, email address and message we cannot answer your enquiry. No automated decision-making takes place.
